Headless opposition
Wood – Jamadilawal 1426 / July 2005 (Laman M@RHAEN)Assalamualaikum,
As good as nothing, that is how I look at Malaysian Opposition Party such as PAS and KeAdilan. Last month Hadi openly said PAS is offering DSAI to take the lead to crush BN in the next coming election. PAS people yet again invite DSAI to lead BA to fight BN in the next coming election. So far we heard nothing from DSAI camp on this invitation, and even TG Nik Aziz keeping a mum to this issue until now. Only a few brief but vague sounds can be heard on this from PAS and KeAdilan.
We all know that DSAI is in no position to take the lead in opposition coalition, for now at least. He has been out of Malaysian politic affair for the past 7 years. No matter how updated the guy is, he is still not a “public figure” yet to the so call reformist we have in our country. Parti KeAdilan to me is like a party without any goal or direction. Let us be very frank here. They keep on shouting the word “Reformasi”, my question to them is; “Reformasi” on what? I bet if you walk up to most of KeAdilan member and ask them this question, they would probably say “Err, aaa..hhmmm”. Seems to me they lost focus on their fight, funny when they rather talk about giving pardon to DSAI for the injustice done to him rather than ironing out their main agenda; that is to strip BN of its power little by little.
To me DSAI got to start and take charge at ‘his’ party first, that is KeAdilan. Forget about the so call stupid memorandum and request for the pardon. Why do you need pardon when you said that you are not guilty? Is that the first priority in KeAdilan fight against BN? Is it to defeat BN in the next coming election or for another 2/3 terms? If the later is the target, then forget about the pardon. Why not fight alongside his trusted friends such as TG Nik Aziz and Hadi. So what if DSAI cannot participate in the coming election. He himself knows that there is no way that BN will lose majority of its seat in the coming election. Definitely BN will loose a lot, but not that much. Not up to the point that KeAdilan and PAS can rule the country. So, there is no way DSAI can be the next PM in our coming election. No matter how much respect I have for TG Nik Aziz and DSAI, both of them need to make a stand on this issue.
Personally I still believe that TG Nik Aziz is still the best person to lead the opposition, not DSAI and not Hadi. Trust me, when the time is not right for him to lead, he would let us know. On why he is still quiet on this issue, only Allah knows? I do hope that TG will initiate something to form a better alliance and strategy with KeAdilan to bring BN down to its knee for the next 10 years.
Everybody must be thinking that BN is currently at its peak especially when Pak Lah led BN garnered more than 90% of the vote from the last election, regardless off undi hantu, undi tipu and undi tipu and last but not lease undi tipu ; that BN is at it strongest since our independence.
I have a different view at it. To me BN is at their worst point, worst than when BN were affected when UMNO was nulled by the high court in 1987 for being an illegal organization since 1946. With the right and proper planning from leader such as TG and DSAI, a few severe blows to BN will definitely bring it down. Pak Lah in his futile effort to put a stop Money Politic aka Rasuah (which by the way the deadline is over), to introduce the so call “entah apa-apa” Islam Hadhari concept, to help his son-in-law in politic, to bring down Kroni Mahathir Berhad and set up another company Kroni Abdullah Sdn. Bhd.; is currently loosing his concentration to defend BN in the next coming election.
To wrap up things, dear DSAI, please get your priority right first, don’t just go here and there and give speeches but left your KeAdilan unattended without reason and direction. TG, please say something. To Pak Lah, please continue with your “entah apa-apa” policy.
Mejoh
